This one started out in my sketchbook of just triangles of values. I love the idea that I can create a landscape out of something so simple and obscure and somehow it is recognizable as a seascape. Foggy days at the sea are so beautiful and calming. I was hoping to convey mood and simplicity by keeping this abstracted and textural. I love how it turned out. Even though the colors are pretty monochromatic, the brushstrokes and texture of the piece adds so much interest.
